At DCS, we believe in teaching that which is both old and new. In technology, our students are gaining the latest and most advanced age-appropriate technology skills.
Using iPads, robots, and other technologies, our students are learning the building blocks of programming and technology logic. We structure or technology learning environment so students gain creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration skills. We are intentionally developing students who will thrive in future digital work and school environments.
Our technology curriculum is code.org, which is funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, among other donors.
Our 3rd grade and older students use Google Chromebooks to complete many assignments.
In addition, all of our homeroom classrooms are equipped SMART Board® interactive displays. Elegant and purposeful in design, these award-winning Boards enable our students to interact with the latest technology to improve their learning outcomes.
