Marian Chase

Marian is a DCS Board member and the mother of two DCS students. She is a native of Dunwoody, graduated from Dunwoody High School, and earned degrees at Georgia Tech and Georgia State University. Marian worked in actuarial consulting and in HR for Fortune 500 companies based in Atlanta. Her background includes compensation & benefits plan design, project management, and communication. In addition to serving on the DCS Board of Directors since 2018, Marian served as DCS Interim Head of School in 2021, and will serve again as DCS Interim Head of School upon Dr. LeMay's retirement in 2022. Marian and her husband, Gerry, live in Sandy Springs with their three children.

Dr. Kevin Jenkins will join DCS as Head of School in the Summer of 2023. Dr. Jenkins joins DCS after serving as Middle School Principal at Cornerstone Christian Academy in Peachtree Corners, Georgia since 2019. His prior service also includes nearly 15 years at Mercer University’s Tift College of Education as a faculty member of the Department of Educational Leadership, where he served as Chair of the department for 4 years. Dr. Jenkins also spent several years teaching education law, ethics, and leadership to graduate-level students at the University of Georgia, and the University of South Carolina. Prior to his collegiate-level work, Dr. Jenkins spent about a decade as a Spanish teacher and then as Assistant Principal in Hall County and Gwinnett County schools.

The Dunwoody Christian School community is excited to see how the Lord will use Dr. Jenkins in the coming years to build on the school’s commitment to partner with parents to develop children who are grounded in Christ-like character, possess exceptional knowledge, and are prepared to embrace life’s opportunities and challenges.

Dr. Jenkins and his wife, Kelly, are the parents of four adult children, live in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and are members of North Metro Baptist Church. He is a devout Christian leader who uses his God-given gifts and talents to serve both within and outside of the church.

Mrs. Fan is an educator with over ten years of experience teaching elementary, middle, and high school students in public and private school settings, as well as six years in school administrative leadership. Mrs. Fan began her calling into Christian education at Victory World Christian School, where she taught elementary grades for seven years. Within that time, she also pursued and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from Emory University. Upon graduation, she was hired at Lilburn Middle School in the Gwinnett County Public School system and taught English language arts for three years. In addition to Mrs. Fan’s teaching experience in elementary and middle school, she taught leadership and career studies classes to 9th-12th grade students at Providence Christian Academy in Lilburn, GA. Her training in teamwork collaboration and leadership tools from the Giant Worldwide curriculum helped her high school students be more intentional in leading themselves and the people around them. Mrs. Fan’s ability to teach and build relationships with students that span various ages and grades equipped her for the administrative roles God would call her into when she returned to Victory World Christian School for the second time. Her knowledge and experience allowed her to serve as the school’s Director of Curriculum and Instruction, International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program Coordinator, and Elementary Principal over six years. In addition to her role as a Christian educator, Mrs. Fan is also a wife and a mother. Mrs. Fan and her husband graduated from Dunwoody High School and were even married at DBC, where Mrs. Fan received Christ and was baptized when she was 15. As an educator, mom, and wife, Mrs. Fan’s greatest joy is to know Christ and to make Him known in each of these roles and beyond. She believes that if you build an excellent education on a Christian foundation, education can transform students' lives for generations. She looks forward to helping students discover God’s unique calling for their lives as the middle school principal and associate head of Dunwoody Christian School.

Mrs. Wanamaker has served in the field of education for over 20 years. Maxann has earned the designation of Master Teacher from the Georgia Independent School Association. As a public school educator, she was recognized as a Teacher of the Year. She spent four years as the Director of Children’s Ministries at Dunwoody Community Church. Maxann spent 12 years as a lead teacher at Swift School in Roswell, Georgia. She has presented educational pedagogy at local, state, and national conferences and was a founding board member for Dunwoody Christian School, serving as an educational consultant for three years. A longtime member of the Dunwoody community, Maxann, her husband Archie, and are blessed to have four adult children and two grandchildren. Archie and Maxann have lived and worshipped locally for the last 25 years. As a Christian and an educator, she has responded to God’s call to serve as the principal of Dunwoody Christian School.

Our Art Teacher, Megan Hilton, has expanded her commitment to DCS as our Marketing and Communications Manager. Before becoming our Art Teacher, Megan worked for 13 years as the Marketing Director at Thompson Ehle Company, Inc. an international consulting engineering firm headquartered in Peachtree Corners. Megan is an Atlanta native living in Sandy Springs. After graduating from Woodward Academy, Megan attended Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA. Megan and her husband, Mike, have been blessed with twin daughters, Ana and Genny, and their rescue dog Kona. When Megan is not helping out around the school and church, she enjoys doing art projects with her daughters, gardening, Zumba, and cooking.

Coach Kyle joined DCS as Athletic Director in 2023 to continue building a robust athletic program that exemplifies Christ.  He is excited about the future of DCS and DCS athletics.  Coach Kyle grew up in South Carolina and was a three-sport athlete in high school. He was blessed with the opportunity to continue playing athletics in college at North Greenville University.  After graduating from North Greenville University, he began his sports administration career as a Director of Intramural Sports.  He relocated to Atlanta in 2017, serving as Fitness Manager with Emory Healthcare before following God’s calling in 2020 to serve as the Director of Sports and Fitness at Dunwoody Baptist Church. Coach Kyle and his wife, Abby, live in Dunwoody with their two children.

Mrs. Weihe started her career in computer sales after obtaining her degrees. She decided to change her focus to teaching and received her teaching certificate from Oglethorpe University. With over 20 years of experience in both public and Christian private education, she is excited to become a faculty member at DCS. Her passion for nature, space, and STEM education spurs creativity and wonder in all of her students. She is a member of Dunwoody Community Church where she teaches children's Sunday school and volunteers in the ladies' ministry. She also attends the Bible Community Fellowship at DBC.
