Dr. Jeff LeMay, our school's Head of School, has more than 18 years of experience in the Christian school movement. Jeff began his Christian educational career when he was called to be the Life Science teacher at Cumberland Christian Academy, located in Cobb County, Georgia in 2004. After teaching for more than 7 years at Cumberland and another year at Colonial Hills Christian School in Villa Rica, he became a Christian school administrator when he was appointed as the Middle and High school Principal at Harvester Christian Academy (HCA), located in Douglasville, GA. After serving as HCA's High school Principal for two years, Jeff took a year off from work to finish his doctoral dissertation, "The effects of using selective metacognitive strategies on ACT mathematics subtest score." Upon completing his dissertation, Dr. LeMay was hired at Victory World Christian School (VWCS), located in Norcross, GA, where he served for five years as the Head of School before coming to DCS. During his 5-year tenure at VWCS, Jeff helped lead the school to achieve new heights in its academic program while maintaining its reputation as a dedicated Christian school. He is a dedicated life-long learner who loves to read and spend time with his family. Jeff and his wife of 35 years, Laura, have two adult children, both of whom graduated from Cumberland Christian Academy. 

 Jermal McCoy - Athletic Director

Mr. Jermal McCoy brings his extensive experience with athletics to the newly created role of Athletic Director to DCS. Mr. McCoy was a three-sport athlete in high school, and upon graduation, received a Division 1 athletic scholarship to play basketball at Texas State University. Upon graduation from TSU, Coach McCoy competed at the highest levels of athletics as a professional basketball player. When his playing days concluded due to a knee injury, Coach McCoy began his basketball coaching career. Coach McCoy coached at the State of Georgia 5A level for 10 years, served as the head coach at Harvester Christian Academy (HCA) for 4 years. During his tenure at HCA, Coach McCoy also served as the Athletic Director and Assistant Principal.  

In addition to his Bachelor's Degree, Coach McCoy has earned a Masters's of Education degree from Jacksonville State University. Coach McCoy is married to Angela and lives in Cobb County.

Maxann Wanamaker - Principal

Maxann Wanamaker has served in the field of education for over 20 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and a Masters in Elementary Education. Ms. Wanamaker is a Certified Member of the Academy of Orton Gillingham and has earned the designation of Master Teacher from the Georgia Independent School Association. As a public school educator, she was recognized as a Teacher of the Year. Ms. Wanamaker spent four years as the Director of Children’s Ministries at Dunwoody Community Church. For the last 12 years, she has been a teacher at Swift School in Roswell, Georgia. She has presented educational pedagogy at local, state, and national conferences. Ms. Wanamaker was a founding board member for Dunwoody Christian School, serving as an educational consultant for three years. A longtime member of the Dunwoody community, Maxann, her husband Archie, and their four children have lived and worshipped locally for the last 24 years. As a Christian and an educator, she has responded to God’s call to serve as the principal of Dunwoody Christian School.
