We are delighted that you are considering enrolling your child in our school.
Online applications for the 2024-2025 school year for all grades (K through 8th) will open on Nov. 1, 2023. Until then, please consider joining us for an upcoming open house or schedule an individual tour.
DCS is a Covenant Christian school. This means everyone on our Board, faculty, and staff is a professing Christian. Each of these individuals is required to agree in writing to our Statement of Faith and our Employee/School Covenant.
In like manner, for a student to be considered for admission to our school, we require at least one parent living with that child to be a professing Christian. The parent must also agree in writing to our Statement of Faith and to our Parent/School Covenant.
Ready to take the next step? RSVP for an open house or schedule a tour today.

What sets DCS apart?
-
We Are Distinctly Christian
DCS is uncompromisingly Christian. Because we are a covenant school, our students are surrounded by staff, teachers, and peers who all share their Christian beliefs and values. DCS’s unique community facilitates the growth of roots, which will both establish students in Christian values and truth, and prepare them to thrive in new areas of growth. To establish and maintain a harmonious Christian environment at DCS, at least one parent living with a prospective student must consent (during the enrollment process) to our parent covenant and agree with our statement of faith.

Academic Excellence, Christian Community, and Affordable Tuition
DCS is known for its low student-teacher ratio, affordable tuition, and academic excellence in a loving, Christian community. We are committed to offering competitive tuition rates, while maintaining the low student-teacher ratios, high curriculum standards, and hands-on educational experience you expect from a private school, including student support programs with both Math and Reading. While our tuition is set at a competitive rate, DCS students may also apply for a state-funded scholarship through our partner, Pay It Forward, which is not based on income or need. In 2023, eligible students received approximately $3,000 each through Pay It Forward toward their DCS tuition. DCS also offers additional financial assistance as needed

Excellence Recognized by OUR Community
DCS is proud to announce that we were nominated in and won the 2023 “Best of Perimeter” award in three categories: Best K-12 Private School, Best After-School Programs, and Best Teacher. The “Best of Perimeter” contest is particularly meaningful because the awards are determined by many of the communities that DCS serves: the residents of Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, and Brookhaven. DCS After-school programs (clubs and athletics) include cross country, swim team, soccer, cheer, and clubs for art, chess, STEM, basketball, and flag football. DCS also has the unique ability to partner with its neighbor, Dunwoody School for the Arts, to offer after-school classes such as dance, drama club, choir, piano, and more. DCS provides childcare on school days until 6:00 PM, through its exceptional “Lions’ Den” after-care program. We are humbled to have won in each category, and are grateful to the communities in North Atlanta for affirming DCS as the “Best of Perimeter!”

Leadership
After an extensive search led by the DCS Head of School Search Committee, the DCS Board of Directors is pleased to introduce Dr. Kevin Jenkins as the next Head of School at Dunwoody Christian School. Dr. Jenkins is an experienced leader with a solid background in Christian education and is well-equipped to position the school for long-term success. He will be coming to us in July 2023 from Cornerstone Christian Academy in Peachtree Corners.
